Migrating to GMAIL accounts

importanteThe institution is moving its e-mail service to Google Apps for Education (GMAIL). Starting Thursday, January 19, 2012 personnel from the Office of the Associate Dean of Students Affairs will visit your lecture hall/classroom to handout a document with the instructions on how to access your new GMAIL account under the domain sanjuanbautista.edu.

This change seeks to improve communication channels with all constituents of the School. As some of you may know Google offers additional services for Educational Institutions as part of the Google Apps for Education initiative. We at San Juan Bautista School of Medicine intend to take advantage of these features to improve our communication, teaching strategies and implement new technologies.

The second phase of this migration will require that all students use the yourusername@sanjuanbautista.edu account (GMAIL - as provided in the written documentation) in eCourses.sanjuanbautista.edu, thus these adjustments will be done for you beginning Tuesday, January 24, 2012.

With these changes we will be in a position to have a centralized and reliable means of communication among students, faculty and staff. Please be aware that once this process is completed all official communication from the School will be done through this new email account.

If you have any questions contact Mr. Juan Francisco Flores (jflores@sanjuanbautista.edu) or visit his office at the Dean of Administrations area.
